Written by Ethan Silva on November 13, 2022
On this edition of the Morning Roar, this Friday was Veterans Day, and we were honored to have both Michael Brown, Director of the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members at Villanova, and Villanova freshman Hunter McCalister, who spent 8 years in the Army, as our special in-studio guests.
Michael explained some of the support students who served are afforded at Villanova, including at the newly constructed Prince Family Veterans Resource Center, while Hunter gave us an idea of the extraordinary path he has taken to arrive as a Villanova student.
Also on the show, Chris, David, Allison, and Dom finally got to the bottom of a deeply existential question:
Do dogs or cats rule?
Make sure to enter WXVU’s giveaway to the Philadelphia Cat Extravaganza!
What would you do with 2 billion dollars like the Powerball winner?
Are next year’s seniors getting a fair shake at Villanova as far as housing is concerned?
And, we look back one more time at the Phillies’ unbelievable playoff run, and to the weekend of sports for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. It’s the show everyone on campus is talking about – listen on demand here, or watch on YouTube!
