On Monday night, Radnor Township commissioners unanimously appointed Jim Riley to a vacancy for a commissioner in the 4th Ward, following the recent resignation of Commissioner Lisa Borowski. Riley was the only candidate to respond to a request to fill vacancy representing Ward 4. Riley was immediately sworn to fill the vacancy and took a seat with the commissioners for the remainder of the meeting.
In other news, more than 60 restaurants in the Philadelphia area are listed for 2023’s first Center City District Restaurant Week. These restaurants will be offering prix-fixe, three-course menus. The two-week-long event begins Sunday, Jan. 15 and runs through Saturday, Jan. 28 at 63 participating restaurants. Restaurants joining the event will showcase their best dishes via prix-fixe, three-course menus. For adults 21 and older, cocktail pairings will be available to compliment the featured menus. Diners can also enter to win dinner for a year, courtesy of the Center City District.
