On Tuesday night, Radnor Township School Board Tuesday unanimously denied a proposal from the Pennsylvania Military Charter School at Valley Forge to open a charter school in the district. The school board’s decision followed public hearings on the application on Dec. 13, and Jan. 23. The proposed charter school is not affiliated with the Valley Forge Military Academy or the Valley Forge Military College. The applicant did not have an agreement to lease space at the academy. The decision marks the second time the board denied a proposal for the charter school. The opinion concluded the proposed charter school does not meet the legal criteria to operate in the district. The reasons also include not having an educational provider, a financial plan, or community support.
