WXVU VILLANOVA CAMPUS MINUTE FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 18

The American Society of Civil Engineers is hosting a presentation on Tuesday from 5pm-6pm via Zoom. Kayla Nelson is an engineer representing the Philadelphia ASCE region and will be presenting on some of the opportunities that the local chapter of the organization presents! Next week, on Monday April 25th, Elias Matar will be presenting with the Society of Civil Engineers from 5:30pm-6:30 pm. Elias is a structural engineer with decades of experience in a wide range of projects. Elias has led the structural design of a number of interior fit-outs at four World Trade Center and other locations in New York City, including the Hudson River Trading office, the MediaMath office, the Weber Shandwick office, Burger & Lobster Bryant Park and several retail and dining outfits at Westfield World Trade Center. He will be presenting some of his work to give insight into major structural projects. Visit vugroups.com for information!
In other news, the Villanova Outdoors Club will be hosting a White Water Rafting trip at the Lehigh Gorge State Park this Sunday. The Lehigh Gorge State Park is located in Jim Thorpe, PA and is about an hour and fifteen minutes from Villanova’s campus. Departure will be at 8:30 am and students will return no later than 6 pm.
