1842 Day is Villanova’s annual day of giving and will take place on Tuesday, September 20th. This University-wide event is a great opportunity for areas across campus to fundraise. The best way to raise support for your organization is to apply for a spot among featured student groups on 1842 Day! Featured groups receive a campaign page and dedicated URL to share their story and encourage the Villanova community to support their organization. Donations made through an organization’s campaign will directly support the group. 1842 Day also helps student groups gain valuable exposure to thousands of Villanova alumni, parents, and friends. Last year, Villanova raised more than $11.7 million through the support of 10,055 donors!
In other news, this weekend is Parent’s Weekend at Villanova, with many fun events happening on Campus! The Naval ROTC Fall Parade will take place at 3pm on Friday, followed by Family Weekend Campus Offerings at 4pm. Then, from 6-8pm the Inclusion Week Carnival and A Capella Showcase will take place. On Saturday, Father Peter will officiate the President’s Welcome at 9am. Next, from 12-2pm, the Multicutlural Student and Family Welcome Reception will take place. Following, there will be a Tailgate on the Green in anticipation for the Monmouth Hawks vs. Wildcats Football Game! Finally, to conclude Parent’s Weekend, there will be a comedy show, featuring Colin Jost. To purchase tickets for an Evening with Colin Jost, visit villanova.evenue.net.
